Evaluation of the Channels of Hope for Gender Program
Her Story Mparntwe, in partnership with World Vision Australia’s Australia First Nations Program, conducted an endline evaluation of the Channels of Hope for Gender (CoHG) project in Lajamanu, Northern Territory.
CoHG is a faith-based community initiative that works with local church leaders and community members to prevent domestic, family, and sexual violence in the remote Aboriginal community of Lajamanu - a Warlpiri Aboriginal community of around 600 people in the Tanami Desert.
The evaluation presents and discusses the findings from endline data (2025) and compares them to baseline data (2023), assessing what shifts have occurred in community attitudes, stakeholder perceptions, and the local prevention environment and aims to understand the role of the CoHG program in driving these changes.
