U Right Sis? Staying Safe Online Program

U Right Sis? is a primary prevention program designed to fill a gap in research and practice by delivering a community-driven, culturally tailored intervention against technology-facilitated abuse (TFA) in remote Central Australian communities.

U Right Sis? works in predominantly Indigenous communities with high need and historically limited access to cyber-safety resources. Repeated workshops are conducted in each community which use interactive discussions, storytelling, and artmaking processes to talk about TFA, online safety, abusive vs. healthy relationships and behaviours, and where to seek help. Workshops and resources are co-designed and produced with input from local women’s groups and community members, using culturally relevant and community-specific messaging to challenge harmful norms whilst celebrating positive uses of technology by First Nations women.
